Infrastructure
The Centre's laboratories support applied research, technology validation, advanced training, and industry projects using professional tools, workflows, and hardware.
GTM XR Lab
A full-spectrum Extended Reality complex spanning three dedicated zones — purpose-built for research, development, and immersive experience. The GTM XR Lab is where IFN's XR programme comes to life, giving students access to professional-grade hardware and software from their first semester.
Lab Zones
A dedicated immersive showcase space equipped with Meta Quest 3, HoloLens 2, and Varjo headsets. Used for application demos, client walkthroughs, and user testing sessions with student-built XR applications.
An open ideation and collaboration studio — whiteboards, display walls, and flexible seating for concept mapping, storyboarding, and design critique. Where spatial problems are solved before a single line of code is written.
High-performance workstations with RTX GPUs running Unity and Unreal Engine. Device profiling rigs, performance benchmarking tools, and SDK integration environments for iterative XR development and testing.

Industrial Design Studio
A fully-equipped product design studio built for end-to-end workflows. Students move fluidly between concept sketching, parametric CAD, physical prototyping, and material finishing — all in one space, with access to the same tools used in industry design teams worldwide.
Studio Zones
Drafting tables, reference material libraries, and digital drawing tablets for early-stage concept ideation, form exploration, and design communication with stakeholders.
SolidWorks, Catia, and the Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE platform for parametric modelling, simulation, GD&T, and cloud-based PLM collaboration.
FDM and SLA 3D printers, CNC tooling, sheet metal bending equipment, and a hand-finishing area for sanding, painting, and surface treatments.
Blockchain Node Lab
IFN's Blockchain Lab runs private Ethereum and Hyperledger testnet nodes 24/7, giving students a live environment to deploy smart contracts, run on-chain analytics, and test DeFi protocols — not simulations, but real blockchain infrastructure.
Infrastructure
Private Ethereum (Hardhat/Foundry), Avalanche Fuji testnet, and Hyperledger Fabric nodes — always running, accessible to all enrolled students via secure key-pair authentication.
Dedicated development machines with full Ethereum toolchain (Foundry, Hardhat, Ethers.js, Wagmi), smart contract auditing tools, and on-chain monitoring dashboards.
Isolated environment for smart contract security research — Slither, Mythril, and manual audit workflows. Students learn to identify and remediate vulnerabilities in production contract code.
Full-spectrum XR complex with three dedicated zones — Experience, Thinkers, and Development & Testing. Meta Quest 3, HoloLens 2, Varjo, and RTX workstations.
