Our Story

From a conviction
to a centre of excellence

IFN was founded on a single conviction: that the most consequential technologies of the next decade — spatial computing, decentralised infrastructure, intelligent product design — would not be learned from textbooks. They would be learned by building with them.

Established as a flagship initiative of Centurion University, Odisha, the Centre brings disciplines, infrastructure, and external partners into one applied innovation environment. Its work is organised around tangible outputs: validated prototypes, deployed applications, research demonstrators, industry solutions, and professionals ready to lead implementation.

In a short span, IFN has produced seven student-led startups, earned Odisha's first Avalanche Foundation programme verification, and placed graduates at organisations including Deloitte and iServeU. The infrastructure, partnerships, and culture that made that possible are still being built.

How We Work

Four principles
that guide the Centre

01 — Build First

Theory follows practice.

Every module is designed backwards from a deliverable. Students build before they fully understand — because that is how understanding actually forms. Lectures exist to explain what just broke, not to preempt it.

02 — Industry Standard Tools

Real tools from day one.

IFN labs run the same software stack used in industry: Unity, Unreal Engine, Blender, SolidWorks, Dassault 3DEXPERIENCE, Hardhat, Foundry, and live blockchain testnets. No simplified substitutes. No educational licences that produce unemployable workflows.

03 — Verified Outcomes

Credentials that mean something.

IFN programme outcomes are verified by external institutions — not just Centurion University. The blockchain programme carries Avalanche Foundation verification. This external accountability shapes how every course is designed and assessed.

04 — Community is Infrastructure

The peer group is part of the education.

IFN deliberately builds cohorts that stay connected after graduation. Founders are given continued lab access. Alumni mentor incoming batches. The community that forms inside IFN is designed to produce collaborators and co-founders, not just classmates.

IFN is Centurion's bet on what higher education looks like in the age of spatial computing, blockchain infrastructure, and AI-driven design. Within the university system, IFN operates with the mandate to move fast — to stand up programmes in technologies that other institutions won't touch for five years.
